AFSCME President Lee Saunders invites all OCSEA/AFSCME members to attend the Labor Votes Rally this coming Monday, October 14 in Columbus. Pres. Saunders will be joined by powerhouses of labor, including AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler, AFT President Randi Weingarten, SEIU President April Verrett, IUPAT President Jimmy Williams and NEA President Becky Pringle.
Labor is coming together united to elect pro-union candidates, including Sen. Sherrod Brown, the most pro-union U.S. Senator in the nation. The rally will also focus on electing pro-union candidates up and down the ballot and the importance of a YES vote on State Issue 1 to create fair districts once and for all (see more Yes on Issue 1 events below).
Please plan to arrive early. The rally doors will open at 4 p.m. This will be a fun event, so be ready to get loud as we rally together in Solidarity to keep Ohio moving forward.
